All this month the Neom team are passing on their tried and trusted Christmas traditions. Here’s four more to inspire ideas ahead of the big day.

When I was little, my mum used to put Christmas table gifts into a decorated box on the table with string and named tags leading from the box to each person’s place setting. This was the cause of great excitement when we were kids, so now that I’ve got a son of my own, I’m going to start doing the same!

I pimp up brussel sprouts with a Jamie Oliver recipe, which involves smoky bacon, fresh sage and tons of Worcestershire sauce. There’s never room for it, but I love to make Nigel Slater’s Limoncello trifle as an alternative to Christmas pud, too.

- Nicky, PR Assistant

Every year I make reindeer buns with my son. They’re simple chocolate buns with faces on the top – we use red sweets for the Rudolph noses and mini pretzels for the antlers. Joseph loves attaching the antlers and eating the left over cake mixture!

- Richard Chambers, Accountant

I use vintage wallpaper to wrap presents with. You can pick up rolls and sometimes offcuts online and it’s much more stylish than the gaudy stuff the shops are selling at this time of year.
