This week we speak with Sadie MacLeod who is Editor of Hip & Healthy (, the online magazine that promises to inspire you to be the best version of yourself. Here she shares her feel-good summer rituals that keep her feeling fit and fabulous as the temperature rises...

In summer, I always start the day with a green juice. It’s a sure fire way to get all the greens (aka goodness) and lots of vitamins and minerals you need for the day ahead. I believe that the key to beauty often lies in the blender (mine’s a Vitamix - in case you’re asking).

Throughout the day I drink tons of coconut water and especially when it’s hot. I find that it’s essential in keeping my skin healthy and glowing. No matter how much water you lose through perpetration this is brilliant at putting it back to keep skin spot-free and glowing. Jax Coco is my absolute fave!

I also love to freeze slices of banana. They make the best cooling snack and keep me from diving into the biscuit tin instead. The perfect heatwave 4pm nibble.

Then, I take my exercise outdoors. British people are particularly low on the sunshine vitamin, vitamin D (thanks to our extra-long winters), so I take advantage of the good weather in the summer months and spend my free time running, playing tennis (not very well) and cycling.

For my body, aside from making sure I have goodness on the inside, I make sure I treat my skin on the outside with goodness. It’s so important in summer to use a good body scrub and especially before time away. Removing all the dead skin cells not only treats and repairs skin it makes for a much more even tan too. My fave is Neom’s Lavender, Jasmine & Brazilian Rosewood Organic Scrub. The scent will transport your mind to much more exotic locations before you even get there.
