Energy is the single most powerful tool to accomplish anything in life. I find that over the past few weeks, whilst I have been working away a lot (we're based in beautiful Yorkshire and I have been up-and-down the country this month) I have found it hard to find a spare moment to work out. My mind and body have really noticed this and I can now feel myself getting into that dreaded slump and next up it hits productivity - NO!.
So, it's now time to focus on getting that boost of energy. Without it, getting from A to B seems that bit tougher. Have you noticed that?
I usually get the time, no wait change that, (I MAKE the time) to swim and walk and I have started to learn and practice yoga. It's amazing how expelling energy actually gives you energy and that feeling of strength.
Experts suggest that you should choose a time of day to exercise that suits you - it gives you the best possible chance to form the habit. For me, I try early morning swimming in the school holidays. 90% of people who consistently exercise do so in the morning - so that's good enough for me. More so, because I find it 'jump starts' my metabolism, regulates my appetite for the day and also allows me to hit the office with a clear head.
