THE ROLE
Responsible for ensuring all NEOM product adhere to high standards of compliance across formulation and packaging. Continuously evaluating any regulatory updates and briefing changes to internal and external stakeholders as required. Supporting the NPD team with innovation and EPD to ensure accuracy of information and robust claim substantiation is in place to support Marketing and Training functions.
Reporting into the Product Director, this role is a key link with Customer Services, Commercial and Operations, ensuring any product quality or safety issue is raised and tackled speedily, protecting our consumers and brand integrity at all times.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Ensure robust product alignment to industry /category regulations
• Lead the business on substantiation required for each product & managing the testing process and protocols with external suppliers
• Working with all 3rd parties on compliance throughout the process & ensuring every product is signed off by a regulatory officer, US compliance sign off & working with the business to resolve without losing our USP’s.
• Keeper and protector of the technical, packaging and safety database, ensuring all information is accurate and updated and is available as required
• Responsible for ensuring all product is uploaded into the CPNP EU and UK portal
• Responsible for ensuring all home fragrance is notified on the EU PCN portal
• Provide regulatory advice and training to the wider business teams supported by an updated product database by market; review of product claims, marketing material, website sell copy and third-party packaging for compliance
• Support the commercial team on Product Registration for new markets, sourcing and supplying required information.
• Support the business on B CORP certification responsibilities
• Support the customer services team on product technical queries
• Supporting the operations team in resolving product quality issues
• Working closely with the customer services team to ensure product cosmetovigilance
• Ensure all product is compliant with latest regulatory requirements, informing the business of any new requirements and actioning changes in good time in line with required deadlines.
• Supporting various departments such as Commercial & Marketing with product technical, regulatory & safety information
• Supporting the business in ensuring all products are complying to NEOM standards and code of conduct e.g RSPO palm oil, organic certification
• Ensuring all products are compliant in chosen markets via product artwork, formulation, and registration
• Maintaining and updating the technical database for the business to utilise
