How To: Treat Yourself To A Spa Night In
Posted by PR Neom, Dec 04, 2020

We are out of lockdown! Or are we? The jury might still be out on that, but whatever tier you’re in, we bet you’ve been craving a spa day just as much as we have. There’s just something about giving yourself permission to totally relax, and that after-spa feeling when you float home in a zen little bubble is just unbeatable. We’re doing our very best to recreate a spa night at home, because after you’ve found presents for everyone else this is hands down the ultimate self-gift, and there’s nothing like the run-up to Christmas to make you put self-care on the back-burner. Unless you’re very lucky and actually live in a spa, here are some tips for turning your home haven into a beauty retreat for the evening...
Luxe-up your bath
One of the best things about visiting a spa is sinking into a bubbly, fragrant Jacuzzi. Granted, this is a little difficult at home if you don’t have a whirlpool, but you can still make bath time feel extra luxurious. We’ve put our new Bedtime Hero Bath Foam in our Self-Care Night In bundle because of its incredible relaxing qualities – its 11 oils include chamomile, ylang ylang, cedarwood and marshmallow so it’s perfect for starting your wind-down. If closing the bathroom door behind you for an hour is the only me-time you manage to get, this is just one way to make it really count.
Treat your skin
Now for the spa bit! Here’s where we kick it up a level, because while we LOVE a bath, it’s just not going to cut it by itself for that just been pampered feeling. Enter our Intensive Skin Treatment Candle. Burn this while you soak for 30 minutes, and it will be ready to pour as you step out of the bath. Massaging this into your skin will not only soothe tired and achy muscles (hello computer neck!) but will REALLY treat your skin too – it contains super-nourishing ingredients and vitamins including baobab (vitamins C, A, D, E, F and essential fatty acids) and jojoba oil, which is a wonder in winter especially.
Sink into bed
Now you’re feeling calm, soothed and silky-smooth, it’s time to slip into your comfiest nightwear and sink into bed. If our essential oils have done their job, you’ll be nearly ready to drift right off, and a spritz of Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist should do the trick. Its lavender, chamomile and patchouli blend is the perfect combination for effective relaxation and heavenly scent. For one final nourishing touch, complement the pillow mist with a slick of hand balm in the same blend.
It’s all in the combo
Creating your own little sanctuary is all about cocooning yourself with nourishing ingredients and oils that will give you a wellbeing boost. An essential part of going to a spa is having a therapist select oils and ingredients that will work for YOU and your goals, and that’s why all the products in our spa bundle have been selected to work together for ultimate winding down and relaxation. The lavender in our Bedtime Hero blend and the chamomile in Perfect Night’s Sleep are the heroes in calming essential oils, promoting sleep and even relieving feelings of anxiety. The shea butter, aloe and jojoba in our Hand Balm and Intensive Skin Treatment Candle are super-powered skin nourishment, and they’re ideal for this time of year when skin is exposed to the cold outside, and central heating indoors.
Tempted? We’re putting spa time at home in all of our diaries.
