Master Your Very Own Perfect Night’s Sleep Facial

Nothing impacts how our skin looks and feels like a good night’s sleep, and it was this which was the starting point behind our Perfect Night’s Sleep skincare range. With our NEW Overnight Facial Cream being the latest addition to join the family this month, we now have everything you need to create your very own pre-bedtime facial routine. Here our expert Education Manager, Sam Turner tells you exactly how...

Step 1: Set The Tone

Before getting started, we’d really recommend making sure you’re completely ready for bed before getting started. That way, you can climb straight into bed as we can guarantee you’ll be feeling sleepy. Next up, create that at-home spa feel and evoke feelings of calm, by lighting one of our much-loved candles or dropping some essential oils into your Wellbeing Pod. The Scent To Sleep is our go-to as the powerful blend of English lavender, chamomile and patchouli really does help you to unwind and relax. “Lastly, try spritzing our much-loved Pillow Mist onto your bath robe or pyjamas and inhale through your nose for 7 seconds and exhale through your mouth for 11,” says Sam. It might not be bedtime just yet, but we’re all for instilling some sleepy vibes for this.

Step 2: Double Cleanse

Like every good facial, a deep and thorough cleanse is a must to kick things off. “Our award-winning Cleansing Balm is a 100% natural way to remove all traces of the day such as makeup, SPF and other environmental aggressors,” says Sam. “It also works wonders for preparing your skin for the next few steps.” Rich in vitamins A, B, C, E and F as well as almond oil and shea butter, it’s well-suited to all skin types and really does leave your skin feeling soothed and refreshed. It also uses natural rice powder to provide gentle exfoliation to rid any dead skin cells. Sam’s top tip? Apply to dry skin and massage in with your fingertips before rinsing with the warm damp cleansing cloth which comes with your cleanser. “Use the textured side for gentle exfoliation or stick with the softer side if your skin is sensitive,” she adds. Repeat twice to allow the products to follow to be able to work effectively.

Step 3: Facial Massage

We know there isn’t always time for facial massage in your daily routine but once or twice a week, it’s worth taking a little more time and really giving your skin some extra attention. If you’re not aware of the many benefits of facial massage, have a read of this.

“Before you begin, massage 2-3 drops of our Perfect Night’s Sleep Facial Oil onto your skin,” says Sam. “This is more than enough to cover your whole face. Next, cup your hands over your nose and breathe in the heavenly scent. Next up, take your White Jade Facial Roller and roll from the centre of your face in an upwards and outwards direction across your jawline, cheeks and forehead,” says Sam who suggests spending a good 5-10 minutes on this step and using slow movements.

Step 4: Multi-Tasking Mask

We’ll class this as the mask step but you’ll be leaving it on overnight so it can truly work its magic whilst you sleep. If you’ve not yet tried our NEW Overnight Facial Cream, it’s been cleverly formulated with skin-loving actives and powerful natural extracts to bring a multitude of benefits to your skin. “Packed with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, cica and magnesium, it helps to restore, nourish, hydrate and firm your skin as well as giving a radiance boost,” says Sam. “Gently press this into your skin as the final step.” Think of this as a true skin saviour since it helps to promote skin regeneration, give up to 48 hours of moisturisation and even boost your overall skin health. It’s also gentle enough for use on all skin types – even the most sensitive.

Step 5: Finishing Touches

Now your skin has everything it needs to drink up overnight, crawl into bed and inhale the calming scent of the Overnight Facial Cream. We’d even suggest a few more spritz’ of our Pillow Mist to really send you on your way. Go back to the mindful breathing we started with and breathe in for 7 seconds and out for 11. You’ll be surprised at just how relaxed you’ll feel. Not only will this have set you up for a better night’s sleep so you will feel more rested, but your skin will mirror this…
