Wellbeing Toolkits are Super Personal – Here’s Ours

LIFE changes all the time, and so do our wellbeing toolkits. It’s about recognising the little things that help make you feel GOOD. If there was a better time to re-assess our wellbeing needs and find new things for our personal toolkits than a third national lockdown well, we haven’t found one! We asked Louise, Rose, Grace and Lilly from the NEOM team to share some of the things in their current toolkits, which contain everything from vitamin C tablets to playing Scrabble to Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist.
Louise, Customer Care Executive
“My Wellbeing Pod is my go-to first step in the evening, to diffuse my bedroom with the lovely Perfect Night’s Sleep Essential Oil Blend. After a long day, I follow this up with Perfect Night’s Sleep Bath Foam (you’ll see a theme happening here) and some much-deserved dark chocolate. Finally, after my bath, I go for the Pillow Mist.
Other than that I definitely make sure to be kind to myself throughout the day, I find it helps to give perspective and keep the good vibes going! I also recommend the book Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge to anyone and everyone, as understanding each other not only helps your wellbeing but everyone around you. Finally, nothing beats a good game of Scrabble. I’m a bit Scrabble mad. Finding an opportunity to have your mind focused on something not ‘internet-ey’ helps me reconnect with loved ones and… annihilate them with a triple word score.”

“Don’t get me wrong, while I’m working out I do not particularly enjoy it, but the natural high of endorphins helps me clear my mind, increase my energy levels and motivation. A natural feel-good feeling! I also never underestimate the power of fresh air, it helps de-fuzz my brain, get rid of the noise and take on tasks with a clearer head. I suffer from mild anxiety and have learned caffeine and alcohol are not my friends, and though I love coffee and a glass of red, swapping them for decaf and sparkling juice is so much better for my mind, especially during stressful times.

“Seeing the joy my dog gets from his walks reminds me how important it is to enjoy the little things, and bright, chilly mornings with frost on the grass are my favourite. When I’m indoors I’ll choose an Essential Oil Blend for my Wellbeing Pod and get lost in a book. Talking to people always brightens my day (even if it’s just a call about what’s for dinner) and I love to spring clean! The kitchen is my favourite to tackle, and I have a Feel Refreshed Diffuser on the windowsill.
Happy body means a happy mind for me, and I don’t mean cutting out pasta and cheese, but just being conscious about what I put in my body makes me feel good. I’m fortunate to have a local greengrocer nearby, but if not I buy seasonal produce. Finally, getting more sleep is so very important: book, Perfect Night’s Sleep Magnesium Body Butter, Pillow Mist.
