100 grams Unsalted Cashew Nuts
50 grams Pecans
8 Medjool Dates stones removed
1/2 teaspoon Ground Ginger
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Terry’s Chocolate Orange has worked its way into Christmas traditions but if you’re saving yours for the big day or want a healthier alternative, try these almond butter and orange laced treats. With added chia seeds for a high protein hit, they’re great post workout as well.
100g Almond butter
1tbsp Orange juice
1.5tsp Organge zest (about one medium orange worth)
2 tbsp Chia seeds (plus extra for decorating)
2 tbsp cacao powder
140g Medjool dates (weighed before the pits are removed)
100g pecan nuts
A blend of dates, apricots, almonds and mixed spice dipped in raw chocolate and decorated in homemade marzipan (with a twist of vitamin-rich spirulina to get that green), these get top prize for intricacy and authenticity. Make two batches because one won’t be enough!
80g ground almonds
100g pitted dates
130g dried apricots
Zest of half an orange and half a lemon
½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground mixed spice
1 tsp raw vanilla powder or 1 tsp vanilla bean paste (not raw)
For the chocolate coating
50g cacao butter
3 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp raw sweetener
Tiny pinch of sea salt
