Our Founder's Best Products For Sleep, Stress, Energy And Mood

As you know we’re all about the small steps which can help to make a BIG difference when it comes to better wellbeing and ever since the very beginning of NEOM, we’ve split this up into four areas – sleep, stress, energy and mood. I always try and do what I can to be mindful of how I’m sleeping, my stress and energy levels and my overall mood and over the years, I’ve learnt several tips and tricks to help. That and of course, built my own wellbeing toolkit of products which can also help. If you’re new to us (or the idea of a wellbeing toolkit), we’ve just launched our NEW Wellbeing Discovery Collection which does in fact, welcome my four all-time favourites...

For Better Sleep

Without a doubt the best thing you can do for improving your sleep is to find a routine that works for you and stick to it. This will take a bit of trial and error, but taking time to wind down is a non-negotiable for helping you to switch off from the day. I’m always asked what my best product for sleep is and it absolutely has to be our iconic Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist. I am never without this and use it every night – even if I’m away from home. Just a few spritz’ is enough to help me feel instantly more relaxed thanks to the dreamy blend of 100% natural essential oils including lavender and chamomile.

For Less Stress

Learning how to spot when you’re feeling stressed and what’s triggered it can really help, as again, can making time to de-stress. Scheduling little moments to relax and take some time away from things is so important. This can be as simple as practicing mindful breathing (in for 7 seconds, out for 11) perhaps on your commute or before a meeting or getting outside for a walk, reading a book, lighting a candle or having a bath. My go-to de-stressing moment is post shower or bath, applying out Real Luxury Magnesium Body Butter. Not only does my skin love it, but taking some time to massage it in is great for both my mind and body too. Inhaling the soothing essential oils of lavender, jasmine and sandalwood also help me to feel so much calmer.

For More Energy

Instead of reaching for a morning (or afternoon) caffeine hit, I always try to turn to other ways to boost my energy first. First thing is when I usually need a helping hand and if there’s one NEOM product that’s bound to get me going, it’s our 5-star rated Super Shower Power Body Cleanser. Again, proving that essential oils have some serious power, this is packed with a zingy blend of spearmint, rosemary and eucalyptus and really does give a refreshing wake-up call. If it’s an afternoon pick-me-up you’re in need of, try using after your midday workout or give one of our other energising heroes a go I love to diffuse our Feel Refreshed or Focus The Mind Essential Oil Blend through my Wellbeing Pod on work-from-home afternoons.

For A Mood Boost

Happiness means different things to different people, but I’ve certainly found that it can be triggered by things we chose to do that we know make us feel good. With this one especially, I’ve really come to notice it's the small things which are big things – appreciating a cup of tea in peace, five minutes of fresh air, reading a book - as opposed to big things (like 2 week abroad holidays) which aren’t actually achievable every day. If there’s one thing that’s bound to turn my mood around, it’s lighting our Happiness Candle which does just as you’d expect from the name. It welcomes a joyful blend of neroli, mimosa and lemon and it genuinely does uplift any mood... and of course makes your home smell great.
